Event Horizon. Or maybe... Voyage To The End Of The Universe (aka Ikarie XB1), from 1963? Or, X: The Man With The X-Ray Eyes (from '63 also)? Or.... Or.... ? Earth Vs The Flying Saucers? It Came From Outer Space? Lost In Space Episode 13: "Invaders From The Fourth Dimension" ??

Y'know, I hate all recent movies, they're all fucking crud....if not some stupid CGI animation, then some stupid jewish romantic comedy... BLAH! Event Horizon was by no means "CLASSIC" but I thought it was very good nonetheless, perhaps the last good science fiction/horror movie made (from America, that is). It took itself seriously (mostly) - ie no stupid "campiness" like most movies today (well, I suppose there was the stereotypical black "wise-ass" astronaut). But more importantly, it was the underlying theme of the movie that was terrifying - that our universe is contained within HELL, or TOTAL VIOLENT INSANE ETERNAL CHAOS. It was the sheer pessimistic flavour of this movie that appealed to me.
If this scenario is actually true, you'd wanna try stay alive as long as possible lol!

Hmm looks interesting. Is there "anything" else out now or coming soon that is half-decent?
Hmm, I wonder what Dragon Wars will be like? Trailer looks OK.
Maybe "I Am Legend" will be worth a shot - tho' of course it's just another fucking remake (of "Last Man On Earth" and "Omega Man")...
Fuck, there's so much utter shit being made. Billions of dollars wasted on sheer crap, while people starve. It's criminal! BLOW UP HOLLYWOOD!!!

i really want to see Control, its the story of Ian Curtis and his time in Joy Division and after Joy(if there was an after) and then his death.

Yeah they played Control here recently, but I missed it. A friend told me it was pretty good. Apparently Ian Curtis worked in a dole office at one stage ha ha.

The Host sucked! I thought it was boring lame shite!
I was looking forward to this movie, and it let me down!
Well...shall we see what Dragon Wars and Cloverfield are like? Tho', I already sense impending disappointment...

I dunno, I s'pose it was OK. But the monster, tho' it looked kinda cool, was too CGI/fake-looking... the characters were too comical... the script was a bit weak (pouring formaldehyde down the sink because the bottles were dusty? huh?)... I dunno, maybe I had too-high expectations.
I'm still waiting for an ultra-realistic dead-serious monster movie to come & bash my brains! NO SLAPSTICK COMEDY!!!
