well i have thought of putting together a band with people from other countries, throught the internet. does this sound like a good idea? the only thing i have composed as a solo band is on my page on M-space and the 365 cover that should be posted, but there is so many influences that i like, ex The Willard, Crow, Framtid, GISM, The Stalin, Kuro, and other shit. i think this will be hard because i dont really stick to a genre. so what should i do?

Go for it! I'd just keep scouring the internet for people into this stuff who can play drums, bass or whatever you need.
I have a keyboard which I could try to play if you're really, really desperate and don't mind somebody who's shite at it.

The point is, Morinkashi, NOT to stick to any genre!

I have keyboards plugged into my computer, I can pull all sorts of crazy-ass sounds! I'm just not sure how we'd go about doing a musical collaboration across different continents??

Weid have to compress to mp3 to email...and quality would deeteriooate each time.....
But maybe we could leave as wav files, add our bits, and then swap between us with soulseek?? There'd be hardly any loss of quality whatsoever, we'd just add our instrument, then use soulseek to send to next guy!?
Next guy just opens up the wav in something like Audacity or Reaper, and add new sounds, then mix down to another wav file & send it on...
Only problem with this is that we're mixing as we go, you have to get it right the first time, coz we can't go back & fix up levels or whatever... but who cares, this is PUNK ha ha!
I'm in! Are you, Morinkashi? Anyone else?

Who starts? ha ha
I can pull a drum track out my arse pretty easy, with fills & changes etc. Y'know, verse-chorus-bridge kinda stuff. I can make drums sound realistic, or nice cheesey/disco drum-machine sound. I personally like the latter better ha ha... Blast-beats? One-two oi beats? what?
Maybe if you pound out a bass riff - an entire song, on the bass - and send it, I'll make the drums, then you can redo the bass properly over the drums?
