"Adverts - Crossing the Red Sea"
Love that album. The second one Cast Of Thousands is great too though more depressing.
Last thing I downloaded was the Avengers self titled album, I had downloaded a version ripped from a scratched LP that sounded like shit. Finally found someone who had a rip from the CD with the 2 extra tracks at good quality 320... yup, the CD I'm too cheap to buy yet I'd gladly buy any of the couple different color vinyl versions of the LP I need!

Yeah that Ebba Grön stuff is cool. Thanks for that, Morinkashi!
Me & Dan have found some more Michiro/Stalin stuff, so feel free to grab from me (SLOBS69) on soulseek. If you have nothing to share, WATCH OUT! Or else, try messaging me thru soulseek first and I might listen ha. Better if you share tho'. All the stuff in my "Stalin" folder is the best bitrate I can find, but if you have better, let me know!
I also got the new ('07) GAUZE CD which is pretty good. Typical Gauze, nothing outstanding, but cool nonetheless.
I think Dan has got their recent 20th anniversary gig of theirs where they play like 60-odd songs Ramones-style (no gaps) ha ha! I know a bloke in Tokyo who saw this live, he said yeah it was great at the start, but by the end he was yawning ha ha ha... I feel the same about Gauze. They're cool, but one-dimensional. THEIR BEST SHIT IS CITY ROCKERS AND FUCKHEAD LP!!!!! Well, that's my humble-pie opinion lol... But that early stuff of theirs is some of the best HARDCORE PUNK I've ever heard. Full stop. (PS I have the best version of City Rockers, not in my "Gauze" folder, but in my "VA - City Rockers" folder. Sounds cool!).
Another thing I got recently which I think is cool is SYUDAN JISATSU EP which has Sakevi singing. Cool band with cool simple heavy hardcore riffs! Very GISM-like really, in a way. It is in my G.I.S.M. folder!
Plunder away ha ha!

Listening to Decry right now, eh, they're pretty much better than I expected. California hardcore band from the 80's, reminds me of the Adolescents, it's not a tuneless hardcore racket, they have some good ideas, good songwriting and arrangements.
I had to hear more Iron Cross after seeing their 1st 7" (green vinyl) on ebay sell for $300. The first EP Skinhead Glory is pretty damn good but the second Hated & Proud is even better! I only knew the tracks on Flex Your Head compilation, & their two most famous tracks maybe, "Crucified For Our Sins" and "You're A Rebel" but there's a few unreleased tracks I found. Some decent tunes, sounds like stuff recorded around the 1st 7".
About a year ago I made it a goal to get every record released on Dangerhouse Records. I had a couple of them (Bags, Rhino 39, Black Randy, Deadbeats, Eyes) and definitely one of my favorite records in my collection is their compilation Yes LA, real work of art that record, or maybe it's even anti-art. Well anyway I won a copy of The Randoms single on ebay last week and it dawned on me the only other ones I need now are just variations, a couple color vinyl and the different sleeve for the Alley Cats single.
Now there were two compilations of Dangerhouse material released on Frontier records, on LP and CD. These were easy to find & download but there are a lot of tracks not on these comps. Those were a bit tougher to find. Winning the Randoms prompted me to look again and after a few days I finally found my missing MP3s of the 2nd Black Randy 7". To my amazement every track released on 7" by the label barely fits on an 80 minute CD!
Other shit I was listening to recently, mostly other old California bands, groups that hardly released any stuff when they were around, No Alternative, Dils, Controllers, KAOS, Middle Class, and the 2 Alley Cats albums Nightmare City and Escape From The Planet Earth.
The Middle Class album Homeland is so depressing, love it!

Yeah Morinkashi Joy Division rules. That movie "Control" is pretty good if you wanna know the Joy Division story - it's a pretty sad ending really - or is it a happy ending? I dunno. That bloke who acted Ian Curtis was good, but he didn't even come close to the real thing of course. Ian Curtis exuded an "atmosphere" lol. Yeah D77! Iron Cross is cool too... You heard Reflex From Pain? Neon Christ? Negative FX? Mental Abuse? Breakdown? Jesus Morinkashi, "you can't find anything else to hear"? lol.... You should be here in Sydney for the World Youth Day! LOL!!!!! (I'm not). I hate the Pope. He's a paedo! LOL! There is plenty of music to discover, you just need to search a little tiny bit. WHAT IS IT YOU ARE WANTING TO HEAR? There are a google-plex bands out there!!!
