Yeah Polysics are fun! I seen the singer guy doing the "migraine dance", just like Mark Mothersbaugh in that "Jocko Homo" video clip! Heee! I practise it every night myself!

Been bombarding myself with some ultra-cool old Japcore lately - such as GAS "No More Hiroshima" flexi (their 1st release, with male vocals), 4TH INTERNATIONAL 8" flexi, the KIKEIJI '82-'94 CD, KYOJINBYO "Black Current Hard Coar" flexi plus their "Fukketsu" album...
Man, Japcore rules! For someone like me, disillusioned with hardcore/fastcore, '80s Japcore is a nice fix! Whoo!

Yeah that GAS 1st flexi is better than the later stuff, I reckon. Classy sound. If you're on soulseek, just grab it from me (user name: Stumblefuck), or anything else.

"Black Current Hard Coar" is pretty brutal. I'll have to look for Fukketsu.
I downloaded a bunch of stuff by UK group Orange Juice recently, wanted to see why people pay tons of money for the 1st and early singles... and I don't get it. Don't get it at all. It's not that the music's too wimpy or whatever, just don't do anything for me.
Also for whatever reason I was curious to hear the early 80's Shonen Knife releases, now those are much better, a lot of the songs make me cringe but they're great, much better than the later stuff where they know how to play.

Yeah, Orange Juice kind of suck. Edwyn's "Never Met A Girl Like You Before" was good though, and when it comes to stuff off Postcard (Orange Juice's label) I can't recommend anything finer than early Aztec Camera.

Haha, a few songs grew on me, they were okay. I expected their 1st 7" to kick ass after seeing how much it goes for on ebay, I don't know why but I thought they'd be sort of like Gang Of Four or The Monochrome Set but nope. The track "Tender Object" on the first album is pretty damned good though and a few others. I mean not good enough to go buy anything but...
I'll have to hear some early Aztec Camera, don't really know anything about 'em, thanks for the recommendation.

Check out High Land Hard Rain and anything that came out before Knife and you can't go wrong. Don't get the album Love, it's complete shit (except for Somewhere In My Heart which I like) unless you like slick as diarrhea adult contemporary produced songs that make Phil Collins sound like Venom.

I still have to check out Aztec Camera, I forgot! Maybe I'll remember next time I'm listening to The Stalin, that's how my totally shot brain works sometimes. ;D
Last things I've downloaded that I've been listening to...
Finally heard some X. Not from Los Angeles, and not from Japan, but X from Australia! Actually I bought a couple X (LA) records off ebay and it popped into my head I've never heard the Australian namesake. They're great, never knew what I was missing. I can recommend the two LP I downloaded: Aspirations (1980) and At Home With You (1985).
Also downloaded Teenage Head, not the Flamin' Groovies album but a band called Teenage Head from Canada, got the first album and I think its from 1979 or 80. I enjoyed it, if you like the Dolls, Thunders, Ramones, MC5 etc. you'll enjoy them. They have more releases after that but I haven't heard em yet.
Only new thing I got lately is Subhumans - New Dark Ages Parade. Subhumans from Canada that is. They still got it. Awesome album. They're still singing about things the MTV "punks" don't have the fucking balls to say.

I got The Adverts - Crossing the Red Sea with The Adverts and got a song buy The Lurkers - Shadow of the Fullham Fallout album (different from the Punk Singles Collection album). Also got Bin Laden...The Remixes by Immortal Technique(if anyone is into political gangster rap) nothing else, looking for The Willards' Tallyho, Hellbound Express Live, and Prankster A-Go-Go and The Stalin-Stop Jap Naked. still downloading Casbah!

You guys talking of Britpop or whatever, have you heard Meat Whiplash? I got some stuff recently which I thought was pretty good. Jesus And Mary Chain wannabees I s'pose, but bit more fucked up.

Never heard of them. I'll have to check something out, especially if they sound like the Jesus and Mary Chain.
Weird thing is that Orange Juice, Aztec Camera, the Jesus and Mary Chain and Meat Whiplash are all from Scotland!
