Been listening to a lot of Star Club recently. Got a few albums off of ebay: Live Hot & Cool, Hello New Punks, & Punk Punk Punk. Really great stuff, I plan on buying every Star Club record I come across now. ;D The folks at 7inchpunk were nice enough to put 3 early EP's & 3 flexi discs on the site, the version of "Hello New Punks" is probably the best one. I also enjoyed the flexi version of "Anoko Ni Hitomebore" one of their earliest songs. www.7inchpunk.com/?p=589www.7inchpunk.com/?p=590www.7inchpunk.com/?p=591www.7inchpunk.com/?p=592Does anyone have or has anyone seen the EP "Toll Gate Ahead" ? (aka Tool Gate Ahead) in lovely free digital format? Only copy I can find is on ebay for more than a hundred dollars if I recall. Maybe I'll buy it for myself for Xmas. Yeah right. I think it was a six track EP the only one I know is on it is the song "Goodbye Japanese Rockers." Now the big question I have concerns a 4 track EP "Go To Hell" their earliest live recording. Does anyone have ANY info on it? Was this actually released in 1978? I have read here and there some conflicting things: never released? test pressing only? It's a flexi? Was this released as a flexi with an album? Help, what the fuck is it?

They had some good stuff. They did an Australian tour in '86 or so, y'know! Unfortunately I didn't see them play - I had no idea who they were. But I saw them walking down the street, they looked funny in their tight leopard-skin pants & RayBan sunnies ha ha... I thought "Who the fuck are these comedians?"

I prefer their 90s and early 2000s stuff to the earlier material.

I'd like to hear it all, great band in my opinion.
PS it's a nightmare to look for their stuff on ebay, there's a million listings for the other Star Club, the club in Germany!
