I like the first album and the first two singles, has anyone heard their stuff after that? Are there more records worth checking out? There's a live gig on soulseek too, 1979 or 80 I guess, it's really good.

Yeah Friction are a great band, apparently they had 10 albums or something? I've only heard the 1st 7", the 1st LP, and a '78 demo. I also just got hold of an ultra-rare album by "3-3", which was pre-Friction from back in '75! Still total punk/rock! Apparently the singer Reck has teamed up with a couple of other dudes, including Pill (ex-Lip Cream drummer), in a band called Head Rush.

You can pillage my soulseek folder to listen to the bands 3/3 (from 1975) and Head Rush (from 2007 I think?). Just look inside my "Friction" folder! WARNING: those Head Rush songs are huuuuuge ha ha...

"3-3", which was pre-Friction
Sounds very interesting...
I've learned that before they did "Crazy Dream" members lived in NYC and were involved in an early lineup of Teenage Jesus & The Jerks!
"Crazy Dream" is great, especially one of the B-sides "Big-S" their suicide song, they start playing Iggy Pop "Fun Time" in the middle. Next 7" A-side appears on the 1st LP, "I Can Tell." The non-LP B-side is one of their best punk songs, "Pistol"!
The first LP is pretty interesting, they've got a lot of ideas going on. They re-recorded "Crazy Dream" & "Big-S" and slowed the tempos down drastically. The first works OK but the slow "Big-S" sounds evil! ;D
